What is Holistic massage?

The term 'Holistic' comes from the Greek word 'holos' meaning whole. The Holistic approach to treatment takes into account a person's whole being, not just the physical symptoms or problems but also psychology, environment and nutrition and the effects, both positive and negative, that these can have on the body as a whole.

What is a Natural Facelift massage?

Natural Facelift Massage or 'NFL" incorporates a unique blend of highly effective massage techniques without using products or equipment, making it a perfect choice to those suffering from allergies from commercial products. The NFL massage works on the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins and waste. It frees up restrictions in the muscle tissue that are the principle underline cause of lines, wrinkles and sagging flesh.

What is Trigger Point therapy?

Ever wonder what can be done to help headaches, neck stiffness, frozen shoulder, lower back stiffness and tennis elbow? Trigger points are accumilations of waste products that occur in any muscle. Trigger point release technique is used within massage to release pain.

What are Hot Stones?

The stones used in this treatment are basalt. They are volcanic stones that are known for their heat retaining properties. The stones are iron rich, they absorb heat easily before use and release the heat into the skin and muscles in a controlled manor. The heat energy radiating from the stones is carried by the blood into the deeper layers of the body, stimulating the circulatory system and metabolic processes. The heat from the stones helps the energy flow through the body and promotes a meditative and calm state.

Tell me more about Womb Massage ?

Womb massage has a lineage dating back thousands of years.Egyptian women massaged their wombs to heal themselves. Norse traditions also mentions Goddesses rubbing bellies to heal.. and the list goes on, in so many countries and cultures.

Womb Massage is just part of the therapy. I include Rebozo and pulsing within the session, which all work in harmony leaving you feeling whole, centered and nurtured.

Rebozos are Mexican shawls which gives a hammock effect to hold and rock your body to comfort and soothe.

Pulsing is a blend of several traditional techniques and is known as the Tai Chi of Massage. Pulsing is a gentle rocking of the body at approximately 120-160 beats per minute which is the same as the Heartbeat in the womb. Physically, pulsing increases blood and lymph circulation throughout the whole body.

What are the benefits of using On-Site massage in the Workplace to treat Stress?

Massage treats stress in several ways.. it boosts the immune system, which is weakened by constant stress, stimulates the circulation and the lymphatic system, increases energy levels and induces calm in both mind and body. It releases endorphins, the pain relieving happy hormone. It stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows the body down, encourages deep breathing, lowers heart rate and switches digestion back on. It relaxes all the systems of the body, which either shut down or speed up when stressed, and therefore helps with stress related conditions such as insomnia, headaches, backache and constipation.
